All that you want to know about Bluetooth!

Bluetooth
The first time I heard the word ‘Bluetooth’ what was my reaction? Well, my imagination ran wild! I imagined a person with a blue tooth amongst the row of whites! Little did I know that it was all about geeky technology and has something to do with cell phones, laptops and the likes! Then I wondered why a blue tooth? Why not a purple tooth or a green tooth? At least a green tooth will be eco friendly, what with all the issues about carbon imprints and so on and so forth.
Hearing Voices
So, I did some digging around and came across some tit bits about this amazing technology called Bluetooth. You see, Bluetooth is a technology that allows two compatible devices like a phone and a headset to establish a link and exchange information , typically within a range of about 10 metres. Just imagine two devices communicating without any wire! There could even be an obstacle between the two. Still bluetooth works. I would have thought that it was magic, but I am tech savvy, really, honestly I am! So no fooling me with magic! To continue with the story, Bluetooth was named after a Viking king called Harold Bluetooth who united two warring territories- Norway and Denmark during the middle ages. He was supposed to be a celebrated communicator, skilled at bringing people together to talk to each other. Anyway he would never have guessed that a thousand years later his name would become synonymous with a powerful technology and that his legacy would be a universal wireless technology. Amazing story this!
Nevertheless, I get it now ! All those people going about with weird gadgets stuck on their ears like the Startrek gadgets are all Bluetooth headsets! Here I was, thinking that the popularity of the movie and the TV serial Startrek had inspired these fads. The other day, I was at a fast food joint with my nephew, and there was this really cool lady with long hair sitting next to our table. Suddenly the lady’s ear lights up! As I was wondering about this phenomena my nephew feeling all very sorry for the lady exclaims, ‘That lady has lighted hearing aids! Let’s get grandpa one like that!’ I was all blue in the ears!
A dentist was examining a patient having a highly contagious deadly disease. As soon he opens the patients mouth, the disease gets transferred to the doctor… How? Because the patient had a BLUE-TOOTH ! Well..well..even bluetooth cavity jokes!
Bluetooth is not only about technology,it is about freedom as well! How so? You liberate yourself from cables and wires and revel in unfettered freedom. Bluetooth's wireless technology frees more than your hands – discover how easy it is to share files when you’re not tripping over wires or constantly unplugging and reconnecting them ! No more connectivity blues!
‘Blue Milk? Cattle go wireless’ screamed the headlines the other day. I was stumped and curious! So I read on. It seems a Danish vendor in cooperation with the Danish Cattle Research Centre and the Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences said that he had developed a bluetooth based system which would allow farmers to monitor the location and health of each animal by placing on each cow, a Bluetooth mesh system with sensors. So, here is an ample proof that bluetooth is not exclusive for geeks with cell phones and laptops!
I wonder often,‘Why do people walk around with a BT in their ear ignoring the world around them’. Even while they are not talking or answering calls they leave that thing on their ears like they are important enough to get a call at any moment, maybe like a secret service agent? At restaurants and on the streets you see people all talking to themselves..sorry ,on their headsets.I think that it that it would be a good idea ,to give both ears to family and friends when you are with them!
However, with Bluetooth devices popping all over the place, I decided on a consumer experience, and try out a few headsets. Hmmm, it was truly comfy and I suddenly I realized the hands free benefits I would enjoy. All of a sudden I did
not feel silly any more, because the
convenience by far outweighs the negatives. Wow, this is a great and brilliant device!
I better stick with it!

Nice. I was also in the wilderness when I first heard about it. So that is how that technology was called that way. I thought they called it bluetooth for no reason at all. =D Thanks for the info! =)
